Britain’s largest grower of fruit and ornamental trees for garden centres, Frank P. Matthews Limited of Worcestershire, is set to take a very special collection of apples on a mini tour of the county this autumn. Starting at the 2017 Malvern Autumn Show, the company will be displaying more than 300 different varieties, together with crab apples and the pears that this area is also famous for.

Garland / Worth Gardening will be making a major statement with the launch of over 70 new products on its Stand Hall 18H10-K11 at Glee in 2017.  It brings the number of new product introductions by the company to over 250 in the past three years.  The latest items serve both the garden and DIY markets, and includegrow pot towers, hanging basket liners and a lawn rake, as well as paint brushes and pest control products.

Harrod's raised garden beds

New garden products for growers are in abundance on exhibitors' stands in the British pavilion at spoga+gafa 2017.  Among the latest innovations in the growing sector are biodegradable seed pods, raised beds, grow pots, growhouses, self-watering pot systems, plant nutrients, nursery greenhouse products, a simple-to-use weather responsive digital tap timer and a range of gifts for gardeners.  

Other sectors of the garden market are also well served with new solar powered lighting, outdoor refrigerators, wall trellis, bird control items, animal deterrents, decorative obelisks, garden…


RHS Flower Show Tatton Park 2017

One of the most anticipated horticultural events of the year, the RHS Flower Show took place at Tatton Park, from 19 - 23 July 2017. For its own show feature, Tatton Park built a recreation of one of its earliest and most popular Garden features – the Tatton Maze – complete with a host of secret treasures, such as a 200 million year old meteorite, a priceless seventeenth century Van Dyck painting and lots more.

 


When Fairy Gardening Went To Chelsea…

At the recent RHS Chelsea Flower Show miniature gardening made an appearance alongside the amazing show gardens, floral displays and trade stands.

Working with the Horticultural Trades Association and Perennial, the Gardener’s charity, Fiddlehead produced a large fairy garden on the roof of a garden shed, as part of the HTA show garden 40 Sunbury Road.

What an exciting new chapter for Gardman and its customers …

Gardman goes to Glee next month with a greatly enhanced product range following this summer’s management buy-out that has left the company in its strongest financial position for eight years.

Chairman Jonathan Halford, who led the buy-out, says the new management structure, backed by private equity investor Rutland Partners, which owns Pizza Hut, Bernard Matthews and Maplin, gives the company a stability it has not had since 2007.
