With just weeks to go until the second annual Glee at Spring Fair event (3rd – 7th February, NEC Birmingham) the show’s exhibitors reveal what garden and gift buyers can expect to see from this thriving section of the exhibition.
Having celebrated its first anniversary of trading at the recent Glee exhibition, Jardinopia – designers and manufacturers of the popular Potty Feet TM plant pot feet range – is reflecting on a year of significant growth which all started at Glee at Spring Fair’s inaugural event in February 2018.
Following increasing attention on glyphosate and the environment in the media, garden retailers are now needing, more than ever, to review their product offer to ensure they themselves are being responsible and the consumers are being given a clear greener/safer option on the shelf - this was never more evident than on the Sipcam stand at Glee this year.
Manchester-based pet bed specialists Scruffs® were able to utilise ‘The Retail Lab’ at GLEE® to showcase their newest product launches this month.
Scruffs® exhibited in both Halls 7 and 19 at the show, whilst maintaining a firm presence at The Retail Lab to boost product awareness.
Treadstone Products, the well-respected supplier of branded garden accessories, launched its new innovative Clip Glove product at GLEE with visitor reaction suggesting the Wrexham-based business is on to a winner.
Leading indoor pot supplier, Ivyline, has been spreading happiness throughout 2018 which has led to a fantastic donation of nearly £3000 to Greenfingers Charity.
Ivyline launched a range of “Happiness Teacups” which proved to be an instant hit with garden retailers and their customers. The set of two set of two triple pack teacup planters, each with an adorable face and their own unique persona, are ideal for cacti, succulents, herbs and alpine plants, or simply as decoration within the home.
The Retail Lab at Glee has been created in association with one of the garden retail sector’s leading trade associations, The HTA. Now in its second year, the Retail Lab benefits greatly from the HTA’s involvement, including sharing of its knowledge, trend foresight and utilising its vast membership base to access exciting new product innovations that fit this year’s Retail Lab theme of Happy Gardening.
Needlefresh, the leading real Christmas tree supplier, has announced a charity partnership with Greenfingers which will be launched at Glee in September.
The fundraising initiative will allow garden retailers a simple way to donate to Greenfingers through Christmas sales over the upcoming festive period.
