Copdock Mill is a family-run business with over a century of trading expertise, manufacturing and supplying premium quality foods for cage and wild birds, poultry and household pets such as dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. Today, the company also supplies its own specialist fishing bait and essential foods and bedding products for the equine industry. Established in 1912 by Herbert George Gladwell, Copdock Mill originally started as a country mill. The family run business continues today, whilst diversifying to produce and supply premium quality animal food supplies and accessories to customers nationwide. With four generations of the Gladwell family having played a part in the business, customers are assured of a first-class personal service at competitive prices. Copdock Mill is now one of the largest independent distributors of animal food supplies and accessories in the south-east of England.
Since 1970, Copdock Mill has manufactured its own wild bird seed mixes and coarse rabbit feed mixes. The business has since diversified to produce its own range of cage and wild bird mixes and seeds, small animal food, poultry feed and premium fishing bait.
With a clear commitment to quality, Copdock Mill sources its homegrown cereals directly from the farm and, wherever possible, sources all imported feed in bulk form from source. Consequently, Copdock Mill’s own-brand products are entirely transparent in terms of the composition of their feeds, with superior blends that are well-suited to a variety of animals.

Consequently, the team at Copdock Mill works hard to control as many stages of the production process as possible. An integrated production system ensures complete control and responsibility for all end products.
Copdock Mill offers a prompt and reliable distribution service to the pet, equine and farming industries, overseen by its dedicated in-house logistics team. The company has its own transport fleet, delivering many of its products nationwide.
