THE GARDEN Centre Association (GCA) Trust recently (April, 2019) selected Emma Lamb from Barton Grange Garden Centre and Sam Clark from Cowell’s Garden Centre to attend this year’s International Garden Centre Association (IGCA) Congress.
The two candidates will receive a sponsored place at the IGCA Congress in September as part of the Dick Allen Scholarship Award Scheme.

National Gardening Week is fast approaching and this year the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) are focusing the campaign on “Edible Britain” as an acknowledgment of own-grown produce. Launched in 2011, the event has grown year-on-year and is now the nation’s biggest celebrationof gardening. The popular Haskins Garden Centre based in Crawley has opened the doors to its temporary building at the Snowhill site.
Phase one of the Snowhill centre’s redevelopment plan has now been completed, including:
- New temporary building erected
- Half of new car park completed
- Car Park entrance has moved
- New landscaping and trees in place
